25 Stories: A Decade of Growth, Nurturing the Future Generation of Stewards

The Community Foundation has partnered with Southwest Conservation Corps (SCC) for more than a decade, supporting their mission to connect youth with meaningful outdoor experiences.

What began as a program serving just 12 students has grown to 90 participants each year, thanks to dedicated leadership and community support.

The Foundation has provided funding to expand these opportunities, including ARPA relief dollars during the pandemic, ensuring that local youth could continue to access the outdoors in safe and supportive ways.

Together, we’re helping the next generation build confidence, leadership skills, and a deep connection to the natural world.
