As the Community Foundation celebrates its 25th Anniversary, Manna Soup Kitchen celebrates its 40th serving Southwest Colorado with unwavering dedication.
Nearly everyone in Durango and beyond knows Manna for its vital work addressing food insecurity and homelessness. Over the years, it has evolved into a powerhouse of support, partnering with local organizations to meet essential needs.
When food insecurity intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic, Manna stepped up. The Foundation was honored to partner with Manna to provide financial aid and assist with transporting fresh food like meat and dairy to neighboring counties.
More recently, through partnerships with 100+ Women Who Care, and the Payroll Department’s Meet Your Match Grant, we helped boost Manna’s Backpack Program, ensuring local children have the food and supplies they need. It is a privilege to work alongside Manna in strengthening our community. Their dedication and impact inspire us all to continue building a more compassionate Southwest Colorado.
