The Community Emergency Fund was established after the fire in the 700 block of Main Street in February 2008.These funds are availabe for a sizeable group affected by natural disaster, a fire or some other catastrophe that affects a large number of people and that no other agency can assist.
The supports include grocery card, gas card, utility assistance; all for a limited period of time to asist folks until they get back on their feet. Different govenment groups may also be involved depending where the emergency occurs; e.g. Business Improvement District, County Commissioners, etc...
