Community Enhancement Grant

The Community Enhancement Grant is intended to be simple to apply for, yet powerful in its outcomes. It is intended to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals, families, and/or organizations.

It will generally be project or group specific; not intended for general operations and support. Examples might be: art supplies for students from families with limited incomes, gymnastic fees to the recreation center for children of color and/or lower economic means. Other examples might be a piece of equipment that will assist children with disabilities participate in more activities with other children, some teaching equipment or material, or even transportation to a special event. Please follow the one-page guide, answering all of the questions on your organization letterhead. Be sure to have your school principal, board president, and/or executive director sign off.

Generally, you will have a response within one month. Each organization may submit two requests per calendar year. If you wish, you may send a letter of support from a peer, family member, or other individual.

As indicated on the application the request may be for up to $1000. You may submit two requests for different projects, however the total should not exceed $1000.

To enhance the Community Foundation’s position and influence in your community we ask that you take the time to let the media know about the grant you receive and how instrumental the Foundation was in assisting your organization or program, and the successful outcomes.

Any suggestions are welcome as we attempt to make a significant difference with smaller amounts of money, but a very simple process. Thank you for participating!
