Proposals will be screened by April 15, 2011 to determine if they strongly relate to the funding priorities. If a request meets the initial criteria, the applicant will be asked to develop a more detailed proposal. Eligibility for funding will be determined at this time.

PURPOSE: To encourage educational and entrepreneurial development in our region. We believe that by fostering educational and entrepreneurial skills we can make our community a better place to live.
GRANT RANGE: $10,000 to $100,000

RESTRICTIONS:
Focus is on new innovation and educational opportunities in La Plata County, and proposals need to benefit those that live and work here. Initiatives need to have a significant potential to impact education and entrepreneurship. You can apply once within a calendar year.
No funding for political, social, fraternal or arts organizations, construction projects, endowments, special events, loans, scholarships, institutions that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability or sexual preference in policy or in practice, political lobbying, medical research, organizations that engage in religious activities.
