Community Impact
Gather with like-minded changemakers to enrich nonprofits – and yourself.
From a speaker series to Durango’s largest wine tasting, the Community Foundation is proud to partner with community members to ignite action for the greater good. These events and special programs not only help fund our work with nonprofits, but also create awesome memories that inspire us to dream bigger and better together. We demonstrate impact through grant facilitation, scholarships, emergency funding, and more!

SCHOLARSHIPS
The Community Foundation offers a scholarship opportunity for low-income, first-generation college students called the MOLAS scholarship. We also facilitate scholarships for other organizations.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE SPEAKER SERIES
The Community Foundation’s Making a Difference Speaker Series is designed to inspire conversation, prompt action, and bring a new perspective. We look for speakers who propel philanthropy – an idea, event, or action that is done to better humanity.
DURANGO WINE EXPERIENCE
The Community Foundation will uncork another fabulous Durango Wine Experience, April 25 – 26, 2025.
COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND
The Community Emergency Relief Fund (CERF) is designated for broad-based community emergencies in Southwest Colorado.
Donations are accepted and deployed to community-based organizations directly responding to the needs of our community.
