Durango Lodger’s Tax: A Guide to the Arts & Culture Grant
The fourth year of the Lodgers’ Tax: Arts and Culture program is an exciting time for creatives in our community. Creative Industries are an economic driver, enhancing Durango for our residents and visitors. The Lodgers’ Tax: Arts and Culture funds have created an opportunity for funding creative projects, events, programs, and experiences supported right here in the Durango community.
Nonprofits are invited to join us for a free workshop on the Durango Lodger’s Tax: Arts and Culture Grant. This interactive session will explore the components of a strong city grant request, highlight new city strategies, and share data resources that can help your application stand out.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, October 1, from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the TBK Bank Community Room in Durango (259 W 9th St, Durango, CO 81301).
Presenters include City of Durango staff members who oversee specific grant programs. Their combined perspectives will provide a well-rounded look at what makes applications successful and how nonprofits can align their proposals with the City’s vision for arts, culture, and community enrichment.
This is a great opportunity to learn directly from city grantmakers, ask questions, and connect with fellow nonprofit leaders. Whether you’re new to city grants or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll walk away with practical tools to strengthen your next application.
