Our Making a Difference speaker series is designed to inspire conversation, bring a new perspective, propel philanthropy, and ignite action.
When we had to postpone our Making a Difference presentation with David Brooks in the spring of 2020 to protect the health and safety of our community, many of us were very disappointed. Brooks is a highly respected New York Times columnist, political analyst, and commentator on PBS NewsHour and NPR’s All Things Considered. In light of everything our nation has been through in the last year, we have determined this conversation can wait no longer. It is time to discuss politics, philanthropy, and how we can unite as a community.
Civic engagement is especially challenging in rural communities where the impacts of a polarizing political climate are amplified in our small-town environment. The Community Foundation is bringing David Brooks to Southwest Colorado remotely via Zoom on Monday, February 15, 4:30 – 5:30 PM MST. We invite you to join us for what is sure to be an impactful discussion about how we move forward, making a difference in our community. We are better together.
