Join us for the highly anticipated return of the Hoedown in Mancos!

On Saturday, October 17, the historic Mancos Opera House will come alive with live country music, dancing, food, drink and homemade pie as we raise funds for two great local causes: the Montezuma School to Farm Project and the Montelores County Fund from the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado.

About the Event

The Hoedown at the Opera is a festive fall celebration for adults 21+. Tickets are $15 to ensure all community members can enjoy this event.

Born as a Montezuma School to Farm tradition that was well-loved by the community, the Hoedown has been revived by the Community Foundation, honoring its roots while expanding the impact for Montelores nonprofits across the region.

The Montezuma School to Farm Project provides engaging garden lessons at the crossroads of food production, food preparation and resource conservation to Montezuma County schools, serving students from age 3 to 18. They also produce over 5000lbs of fresh food which is donated to community partners.

The Community Foundation’s Montelores County Fund is in the early fundraising stage, with the intent to provide future annual grants to nonprofits in Montezuma and Dolores County. This county-focused fund will allow local nonprofits to benefit from a much-needed funding source in rural Southwest Colorado.
