Nonprofits selected to participate this year are 4 The Children, Big Brothers Big Sisters of SW Colorado, Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County, Community Foundation serving SW Colorado, Durango Arts Center, Durango Food Bank, La Plata Family Centers Coalition, and Sexual Assault Services Organization. Additional grantees include the Business Improvement District and the Durango Chamber of Commerce. The CAUSE youth internship program is funded by a philanthropic couple interested in creating a meaningful workplace experience for high school youth, while at the same time benefiting local nonprofits. This is the third year the Community Foundation has coordinated this impactful grant.

“We look forward to another beneficial partnership for the students and nonprofits,” says Briggen Wrinkle, Executive Director of the Community Foundation. “It has been rewarding to watch this grant opportunity evolve into a win-win for our community.”
