Earned Revenue, October 2

2-5 PM

Everyone talks about diversifying revenue, but where do you actually start?

With earned income, nonprofit leaders gain greater predictability and autonomy to take their mission further and do more for their community. This workshop walks you through a hands-on process to create a new revenue-generating program or service for your nonprofit. Using simple planning tools and real-world examples, you’ll leave with a business plan and financial model that are practical, easy to understand, and ready to test in your community.

This workshop will help you:

  • Learn the basics of earned revenue and understand how it fits your nonprofit’s mission and capacity.

  • Gain inspiration from real-world nonprofit case studies showcasing diverse earned revenue models.

  • Identify clear, actionable first steps to begin assessing earned revenue potential for your organization.

  • Access resources and tools that support you in creating realistic and sustainable earned revenue streams.

Whether you’re just curious about earned revenue, actively exploring new income opportunities, or ready to diversify your funding strategy, this session is designed to help you confidently move forward.

Scenario Planning, October 3

10 AM-1 PM

Today’s uncertainty is real – but so is your power to plan.

This workshop helps nonprofits think strategically about the future by exploring a range of possible scenarios — from best-case to worst-case. Along the way, you’ll examine how your current systems and funding models hold up under pressure, and consider bold new ways to adapt and grow. The goal: a more resilient, forward-looking organization that’s ready for whatever comes next.

Scenario planning focuses on mitigating risks and maximizing opportunities all with an integration into free financial tools that make your planning more relevant and actionable.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Make sense of the rapidly changing environment by understanding how it most impacts your organization

  • Create scenarios that are more realistic and nuanced than “worst and best”

  • Follow a step-by-step process that allows you to have a plan for any scenario

  • Turn your organization’s historical finances into a forecast for different scenarios

Whether you’re navigating cuts, exploring growth, or just trying to stay ahead of the curve, this tool is built to help you meet the moment.
