Durango Wine Experience Selects Nonprofit Partners

The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado announces the 10 nonprofits selected to receive grants as part of this year’s Durango Wine Experience. The popular shoulder season event will be held April 25-26.

The 2025 nonprofit grantees are Chimney Rock Interpretive Association in Archuleta County; Colorado Pet Pantry and Mt. Lookout Grange in Montezuma County; and Durango Baseball & Softball, Durango Montessori School, Durango Nordic Ski Club, Our Own Lives, San Juan Symphony, iAM Music, and 4CORE in La Plata County.

Weekend passes are available now at www.durangowine.com/tickets/, and single event tickets will be available starting April 1. Proceeds from ticket sales and corporate sponsorships will provide the Community Foundation with funding to bolster their mission-driven work that supports the nonprofit sector in Southwest Colorado.

Nonprofits across multiple sectors and geographic areas have been selected to receive a $2,500 grant, along with the opportunity to share their missions with Durango Wine Experience attendees. Patrons can connect with the nonprofits at various businesses in downtown Durango during the Walkabout, Friday April 25. The volunteers will also help at the Grand Tasting in Buckley Park, Saturday April 26.

The Durango Wine Experience also offers educational seminars, wine dinners, and unique tastings. There will be hundreds of wineries and regional artisan spirits represented at the Walkabout and Grand Tasting.

“This will be the Community Foundation’s third year partnering with nonprofits for Durango Wine Experience,” said Briggen Wrinkle, Executive Director of the Community Foundation. “It’s an impactful way to connect nonprofits with hundreds of community members, giving them a platform to share their mission and gain well-deserved exposure.”
